GAIA Best Paper Award 2024 2025-03-14 Oliver Parodi, Susanne Ober, Daniel J. Lang and Marius Albiez are the winners of the GAIA Best Paper Award 2024. They receive the award for their article Real-world lab versus real-world experiment: What makes the difference? (GAIA 2/2024) (German). Their paper is highly valued for its contribution to the consolidation of a young research field through precise terminological and conceptual distinctions, clarifying the relationship between real-world labs and experiments to maximize their potential. It also highlights the risks of vague terminology, with significant research and societal implications, especially in Germany.
